Senior QA Automation Engineer

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end quality for payment journeys and critical transaction scenarios.
• Design API-first test strategies for REST/JSON/HTTP and complex lifecycles.
• Build and maintain automated API and selective UI tests (Playwright, RestAssured or similar).
• Develop reusable automation components (API clients, test data builders).
• Test integrations with payment processors/Open Banking, handling async callbacks, polling, retries
• Investigate production incidents, reproduce defects, analyze logs and traces, contribute to RCAs.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in QA engineering or related software quality role with ownership of complex
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs: HTTP, JSON, validation, API-driven workflows.
• Strong understanding of backend/distributed services and software integration patterns.
• Practical experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, RestAssured, or similar).
• Ability to diagnose issues via logs, databases, API traces, and debugging tools.
• Understanding of asynchronous systems, callbacks, queues, retries, and failure handling.
