📋 Description

• Underwrite new business and large renewals in recreational marine segment.
• Balance risk, rate, retention, growth, profitability objectives.
• Cover marinas, boat dealers/builders, yacht clubs, rental ops, and related businesses.
• Lead, coach, and mentor Analysts, Raters, and Junior Underwriters.
• Foster broker/agency relationships; visit territories quarterly.
• Provide guidance on policies, coverage, and underwriting decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or 10+ years experience or combination.
• Strong commercial underwriting, with recreational marine or specialty insurance experience.
• Track record underwriting complex new business and large renewals balancing growth and risk.
• Deep knowledge of recreational marine risks (marinas, dealers, builders, yacht clubs, rental ops).
• Excellent judgment, analytical skills for risk, pricing, and compliance.
• Broker/agency relationship management; strong leadership and mentoring ability.
