Senior Safety Methods Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and qualify thermal-hydraulic safety methods for reactor analyses and licensing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance modeling capabilities and analytical accuracy.
• Create automated workflows for model prep, execution, post-processing, and repeatable analyses.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, applicability ranges, and numerical performance.
• Support plant design, safety analysis, and coupled simulation workflows.
• Contribute to system transient analysis codes and reactor simulation capabilities.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in system-level thermal-hydraulic modeling and method development.
• Experience with RELAP5-3D, GOTHIC, SAS, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of thermal-fluid behavior in advanced reactor designs.
• Experience with sensitivity analyses, verification/validation, and QA (NQA-1).
• Proficient in Python or MATLAB and scientific workflow automation.
