📋 Description

• Join Elasticsearch Performance team to improve optimization and predictability of Elasticsearch
• Contribute to core performance initiatives from development to production.
• Develop AI-assisted optimization harnesses to streamline profiling and benchmarking.
• Collaborate across teams to apply performance-focused practices to new features.
• Profile and analyze system behavior to identify bottlenecks in logging, metrics, and vector search.
• Support scalable, serverless and distributed architectures with robust benchmarks.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Java, JVM memory management, concurrency models; write high-performance
• Proven profiling/optimizing distributed systems; experience with benchmarking tools (JMH, Rally).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems: partition tolerance, cluster state, scaling large data
• Experience using AI/advanced tooling to accelerate optimization and automate benchmarking.
• Ability to collaborate in a distributed team and communicate asynchronously.
