Senior Software Engineer (Athena)

📋 Description

• Build and maintain core Go components on GCP: onboarding, entitlement, data ingestion.
• Own ambiguous problems and features from design to production with testing and observability.
• Work with staff/principal engineers to implement scalable architectural patterns.
• Write backend systems that turn unstructured inputs into structured outputs.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident postmortems.
• Become go-to engineer for core subsystems, leading multi-engineer efforts over months.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid backend engineering foundation; shipped and maintained production systems.
• Go expertise; GCP and Terraform experience; APIs a plus.
• Navigate unstructured data problems: parsing, validating, deduplicating.
• Operate with monitoring, alerting, and graceful degradation.
• Scope and drive features independently with minimal oversight.
• Security or infrastructure domain knowledge.
