Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Batch Infrastructure)

📋 Description

• Lead engineers through ambiguity to deliver quarterly goals for the Batch Infra team.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to ideate, constrain risks, and trade-offs.
• Identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Monitor metrics and support on-call efforts to keep systems available.
• Set and improve code review and design standards; share knowledge via writing and talks.
• Develop talent through feedback and leading by example.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale (Python or Kotlin).
• Experience with highly available distributed systems: AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Workflow Orchestration (Airflow, Flyte, Prefect, Temporal, Luigi, etc.).
• Experience scaling frameworks like Spark/Flink on Kubernetes for large datasets.
• Proven ability to define technical plans for significant features with elegant design.
• Strong code change capabilities in large codebases; proactive growth mindset.
