Senior Software Engineer, Build Oak

📋 Description

• Hybrid-work environment with onsite three days a week at HQ in New York City.
• Own core pieces of the fraud/risk decisioning systems used by financial institutions.
• Develop and optimize backend services for real-time risk analysis.
• Shape AI features, explainable decisions, and integration with AWS Bedrock.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to scope and implement features at scale.
• Partner with team on system design for enterprise-wide rollouts.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with backend ownership in production.
• Hands-on SQL with query planning, indexing, and performance under load.
• Production experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Ability to gather requirements from ambiguous asks and define scope.
• Strong communication with internal stakeholders or customers.
