Senior Software Engineer, Data

📋 Description

• Design, build, and run data pipelines processing terabytes daily with Airflow/Composer and BigQuery
• Own end-to-end data models and transformations powering merchant analytics and ML features
• Build and maintain embedded analytics infrastructure used by merchants
• Evolve data platform on GCP, including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, and CDC datastreams
• Improve data quality and reliability via testing, observability, alerting, and validation
• Own data lineage, metadata, and documentation for agentic/LLM-ready data

🎯 Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience building and operating production data systems
• Strong SQL and Python skills; comfortable building and maintaining APIs
• Experience with modern cloud data stacks (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure ok), BigQuery, ELT, and Airflow
• Deep data modeling knowledge – dimensional modeling, SCDs, incremental processing
• Prioritize data quality, lineage, and observability as core engineering concerns
• Clear communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders; cross-functional
