Senior Software Engineer (Guarded OS)

📋 Description

• Build, operate, and improve Elastic Build, our Kubernetes-based pipeline that turns package specs
• Maintain Melange, our package build tool, focusing on stability, testing, observability, and ops
• Automate package rebuild/review workflows, reducing manual steps while preserving necessary human
• Develop monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and automated remediation to reduce toil.
• Help define the roadmap for build/update services powering Chainguard OS.
• Document systems and practices to share knowledge across the team.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering, backend or distributed systems.
• Strong Go production services experience.
• Experience operating production systems at scale, on-call rotations, incident response, and
• Strong Linux systems knowledge.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native design; Cloud Run, AWS, or Azure experience.
• Experience building developer platforms, CI/CD infrastructure, or related tooling.
