Senior Software Engineer, Hyperscale Build Environments and Tools

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain build orchestration systems and tooling
• Improve build speed, reliability, reproducibility, and debuggability
• Own containerized build environments for consistent images
• Handle large-scale C/C++ builds, including linking tradeoffs
• Diagnose build-graph issues, flaky builds, and regressions
• Shape roadmap for build systems and developer tooling

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering, infra, or platform engineering
• Strong build systems understanding: dependency mgmt, reproducible builds
• Experience with Make, CMake, or custom build orchestration
• Large-scale C/C++ builds, pruning and containerized builds
• Linux development, Docker, and consistent build images
• CI pipelines and CI integration of build tooling

• Base salary range: $180,000 — $270,000 USD
