Senior Software Engineer II - KMS

📋 Description

• Own technical workstreams in Go, building high-availability key management services.
• Lead design of key generation, rotation, escrow, destruction workflows.
• Scale envelope encryption across storage, databases, and workloads.
• Drive compliance into design: FIPS 140-2, SOC 2, audit logging, crypto governance.
• Harden cryptographic systems and reduce security vulnerabilities.
• Mentor IC2 engineers with applied cryptography and security best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years software engineering; 2–3 years in cryptographic systems or security-critical services.
• Strong in Go and gRPC; microservices architecture.
• Deep cryptography knowledge: AES-GCM, RSA, ECDSA, HMAC, HKDF, PBKDF2.
• Hands-on with HSM or cloud KMS (AWS/KMS, GCP/KMS, Vault, Thales, etc.).
• FIPS 140-2 and SOC 2 familiarity; audit considerations for key management.
• Distributed systems concepts: consensus, replication, partitioning; cryptographic correctness under
