Senior Software Engineer, Mapping

📋 Description

• Lead architecture of offline experimentation tooling and route simulation services
• Build scalable data pipelines for experimentation, analytics, and ML models
• Develop data governance and observability systems for trustworthy data
• Collaborate with Engineering/Data Science/Product to impact Lyft’s routing and growth
• Own core data pipelines end-to-end and define SLAs for reliability at scale
• Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Stats or related field
• 5+ years in backend or data engineering with large-scale distributed systems
• Strong experience with Spark and scripting (Python, Ruby, Bash)
• Experience with distributed storage/streaming tech (Clickhouse, Hive, Presto, Delta, Iceberg, Kafka)
• Strong SQL skills with performance tuning for high-volume events data
• Hands-on data quality tooling (dbt, Great Expectations, Monte Carlo)
