Senior Software Engineer, Payments Platform

📋 Description

• Lead architecture and implementation of a highly available, fault-tolerant billing platform
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, QA, and Ops to deliver resilient services
• Code ~80% of the time while evaluating new technologies and designs
• Build platform features spanning streaming, APIs, notifications, and batch workloads
• Set engineering excellence by example and drive CI/CD automation
• Own shared architectural layers and libraries used across teams

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in architecting and running large-scale services (subscriptions, payment, order, billing)
• Experience with subscription/payment flows: tax, payment, renewal, dunning, invoicing
• Advanced hands-on with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
• Experience building systems with multiple workloads: streaming, API, notifications, batch
• Strong architectural design for highly available, scalable subscription platforms
• Cloud expertise across AWS or GCP; multi-cloud is a plus
