Senior Software Engineer, Service Tools

📋 Description

• Build next-gen build system (Bazel) for backend
• Integrate build system with CI/CD tooling
• Improve editor experience for backend devs (IntelliJ)
• Shape tech strategy to improve DX, velocity, debuggability
• Partner with engineering leaders across Airbnb teams
• Act as player/coach for code quality and ops excellence

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years industry experience
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in CS or equivalent
• Proficiency in back-end languages (Java/Ruby/Go/C++/etc)
• Experience with high-scale distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams
