Senior Systems Engineer, EO/IR Payloads

📋 Description

• Lead technical exploration of EO/IR payload concepts and imaging modes.
• Develop system/payload requirements, build simulations, and analyze early-stage concepts.
• Identify new operational use cases addressing stakeholder challenges.
• Drive early-stage R&D activities as Principal Investigator.
• Collaborate with Product and Applied Science to translate ideas into architectures and
• Perform feasibility studies and literature reviews to support mission concepts.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in engineering, Physics, Optical Sciences, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in systems or instrument engineering in EO/IR payloads.
• Background in infrared, multispectral, or hyperspectral remote sensing.
• Experience with EO/IR space missions (government and commercial).
• Strong systems engineering: requirements, simulation, modeling, analysis.
• Programming for modeling/analysis: Python, Julia, MATLAB.
