Senior Systems Safety Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead and deliver Systems Safety Engineering activities across the full project lifecycle in
• Develop and maintain Safety Cases with robust ALARP arguments.
• Perform and support safety analyses (FTA, ETA, FMECA, FFA, Hazard Analysis, IHA) and manage Hazard
• Identify, capture, manage, and verify safety requirements embedded in system development.
• Plan and deliver safety engineering work packages with scope, priorities, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory

🎯 Requirements

• Proven Systems Safety Engineering experience in Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Nuclear, Oil & Gas
• Strong experience developing Safety Cases and ALARP arguments.
• Experience with FTA, ETA, FMECA, FFA, Hazard Analysis, Hazard Logs, and IHA.
• Experience in formal Safety Management Systems and project-level safety processes.
• Knowledge of Def Stan 00-056/00-055, EN 50126/50128/50129, IEC 61508, ARP4761, DO-178, DO-254.
• Understanding of UK and international safety regulatory frameworks.
