Senior Technical Lead - Asterisk & Telephony

📋 Description

• Lead architecture, development, deployment, and optimization of Asterisk-based VoIP platforms.
• Design and scale highly available telephony infra integrating SIP trunks, codecs, monitoring, and
• Guide engineering teams in AGI, ARI, and AMI-based automation, custom call logic, and backend
• Lead cloud telephony deployments across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure with reliability, security
• Own technical direction for VoIP troubleshooting including NAT traversal, QoS, SIP signaling, and
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Security, and Networking to deliver robust end-to-end

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years in telephony/VoIP; 7+ years hands-on with Asterisk PBX.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience in telephony/VoIP environment.
• Deep knowledge of SIP, RTP, SRTP, IAX2, DAHDI, codec negotiation, and VoIP troubleshooting.
• Scripting with Python and Bash; hands-on with AGI, AMI, and ARI interfaces.
• Strong Linux admin skills; CLI networking and debugging tools; cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
