Senior z/OS Systems Programmer

📋 Description

• Lead and maintain core mainframe operating system environment on z/OS.
• Design, develop, and improve core platform services with automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of OS solutions; build observability and
• Manage Parallel Sysplex and Coupling Facility configurations for high availability.
• Make technical decisions and communicate designs to stakeholders and leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture through reviews and knowledge sharing.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in z/OS systems programming or similar senior engineering role.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS internals, architecture, and subsystems.
• Experience with Parallel Sysplex and Coupling Facility (GDPS operations).
• Hands-on SMP/E packaging, installation, and maintenance of z/OS software; upgrade planning and OS
• Programming & scripting: REXX, TSO/ISPF, JCL; Assembler a plus.
• Performance tuning, system utilities, monitoring, and problem determination tools.
