Senior z/OS Systems Programmer

📋 Description

• System lead for maintaining and advancing core mainframe OS environment (z/OS).
• Design, develop, and improve core platform services on z/OS with automated testing and deployment.
• Build observability, monitor production health, resolve incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Manage Parallel Sysplex and Coupling Facility configurations for high availability.
• Collaborate with global mainframe teams and stakeholders to align improvements with business goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture through reviews and internal

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in z/OS systems programming or similar senior engineering role.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS internals and architecture; mastery of core components and subsystems.
• GDPS operations and Coupling Facility management for high availability.
• SMP/E packaging, installation, and maintenance of z/OS software; ability to plan/execute complex
• Programming & Scripting: REXX, TSO/ISPF, JCL; Assembler coding a plus.
• Performance & Tools: z/OS performance tuning, system utilities, monitoring, problem
