Senior z/OS Systems Programmer

📋 Description

• Act as a key technical leader in maintaining and advancing core mainframe OS environment.
• Design, develop, and improve core digital platform services on z/OS with automated testing and
• Ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of OS solutions by meeting functional and
• Build observability, monitor production health, resolve incidents, and perform root-cause analysis
• Monitor and optimize Parallel Sysplex and Coupling Facility configurations for high availability.
• Share knowledge, mentor juniors, and participate in code reviews and internal communities.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in z/OS systems programming or similar senior engineering role.
• Deep knowledge of z/OS internals; architecture, design, and implementation of core components.
• Parallel Sysplex and GDPS operations; Coupling Facility management for high availability.
• SMP/E packaging, installation, and maintenance of z/OS software; OS upgrades to latest z/OS
• Programming & Scripting: REXX, TSO/ISPF, JCL; Assembler a plus.
• Performance & Tools: z/OS performance tuning, monitoring, and problem determination tools.
