Site Reliability Engineering Manager, Vehicle Software

📋 Description

• Build and lead the Vehicle Software SRE team from the ground up, defining its charter and operating
• Own reliability strategy across deployment, service health, telemetry, and diagnostics.
• Define production readiness criteria, SLIs/SLOs, and fault-injection practices for fleet workflows.
• Design observability and tooling to shorten root-cause analysis and reduce toil.
• Lead incident investigations and strengthen on-call practices and escalation paths.
• Mentor engineers and communicate reliability health and investment needs to leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in production software systems with SRE/production engineering or related domains.
• 3+ years in people leadership, hiring, coaching, and scaling teams.
• Proven experience with SLOs, error budgets, observability, and incident management.
• Hands-on experience building production software and tooling in C++, Rust, Python, or Go
• Strong communication and ownership mindset; able to lead across software, hardware, operations, and
