Software Development Engineer

📋 Description

• Implement features for Fastly's API Services team in high-throughput, distributed systems.
• Collaborate across groups to solve issues and implement changes.
• Contribute to core infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Chef.
• Automate manual tasks and improve reliability of systems.
• On-call rotation and interaction with neighboring applications/services.
• Assist with onboarding and supporting new team members.

🎯 Requirements

• 1-3 years of related development experience.
• Working knowledge of GoLang and desire to deepen expertise.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP), Docker/Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Strong understanding of core engineering concepts and distributed systems.
• Good communication and teamwork, with ability to work across time zones.
• Open to working with distributed teams and taking on scoped projects.
