Software Engineer, Backend - Data Layer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for process data across relational DBs and
• Own engineering initiatives from requirements to production delivery.
• Evolve data processing, retention, exposure, and streaming for customers.
• Improve performance and scalability of secondary storage with tooling for observability and ops.
• Troubleshoot data-layer production issues as part of on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, SRE, Support, and engineers in a remote-first setting.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 4 years as a Backend Software Engineer focused on production data stores.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
• Understanding of query performance, indexing, data modeling, and execution plans.
• Experience delivering complex engineering initiatives end-to-end.
• Ability to troubleshoot slow queries and performance bottlenecks.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a remote-first environment.
