Software Engineer, Backend - Data Layer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for process data
• Own engineering initiatives end to end from design to delivery
• Improve how data is processed, retained, and streamed for customers
• Boost performance and scalability of storage systems; build observability tooling
• Troubleshoot data-layer production issues and on-call rotations
• Collaborate with Product, Support, SRE, QA, and other teams

🎯 Requirements

• At least 4 years of backend software engineering experience
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch
• Understanding of query performance, indexing, data modeling, and execution plans
• Experience delivering complex engineering initiatives with requirements analysis and design
• Ability to troubleshoot data-related production issues and bottlenecks
• Strong communication and remote-work collaboration skills
