Software Engineer, Backend - Organization Services

📋 Description

• Build, test, and maintain backend services and APIs in Kotlin and Java.
• Contribute to core platform capabilities: org models, account lifecycles, access control.
• Implement service changes across API updates, migrations, tests, deployments, and observability.
• Partner with senior engineers to design solutions for moderately complex backend problems.
• Collaborate with platform/product teams to integrate auth, storage, billing, and shared systems.
• Debug production issues across distributed services, MySQL/Vitess, and customer flows.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production software.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin in production environments.
• Experience building APIs or service interfaces with versioning and rollout concepts.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems, service-to-service communication, retries, observability.
• Experience with relational databases, schema design, queries, transactions, and migrations.
• Experience writing automated tests and code reviews to improve quality.
