📋 Description

Build and evolve Backblaze's billing system for usage, subscription, and hybrid models.
Design APIs and data pipelines linking billing to payments, ERP, and CRM.
Instrument services and define SLIs/SLOs to improve reliability.
Implement customer-facing telemetry for usage and costs.
Participate in technical design discussions and write clear design docs.
Write high-quality, server-side code in a distributed system.

🎯 Requirements

4+ years of server-side Java programming experience.
Experience building distributed systems (design, test, rollout).
Proactive communicator in a remote environment.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor).
