Sourcing and Manufacturing Specialist

📋 Description

• Role focuses on product sourcing, supplier relationships, procurement, and manufacturing execution
• Full-time independent contractor joining a venture studio that builds multiple companies.
• Source and qualify manufacturers, manage production schedules and lead times, and protect margins.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Lead, CEOs, engineers, and product teams.
• Oversee supplier negotiations, QA, regulatory testing, and international freight coordination.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in product sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing.
• Deep experience sourcing from Chinese manufacturers; Alibaba/1688 familiarity.
• Proven track record finding and qualifying legitimate Chinese manufacturers.
• Strong network or ability to build one quickly; RFQ and negotiation experience.
• Knowledge of landed costs, Incoterms, freight, duties, and import expenses.
• Experience with QA, supplier audits, inspections, and defect management.
