Sr. Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Remote-first, Backend-focused role building large, complex systems at scale.
• Own critical product areas and enable AI-powered features in production.
• Work on Peek Pro, embeddable scheduling, and enterprise services.
• Design and operate agent orchestration systems for AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver features.
• Support performance, security, and reliability of systems.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years with Elixir or Ruby; Elixir required.
• Strong API design, data modeling, SQL, and production debugging.
• Experience with GraphQL APIs, MySQL, and RabbitMQ.
• Experience with relational/non-relational databases.
• Ability to reason about AI tools, pitfalls, and maintainability of AI-generated code.
• On-call rotation experience and willingness to handle production issues.
