Sr. Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Elixir with focus on API design, data
• Own critical product areas and drive initiatives from concept to deployment and operation.
• Develop backend services that integrate with multiple products and systems with high quality
• Solve complex problems in booking flows, payments, customer workflows, system performance, and
• Leverage AI coding tools as part of the development workflow and collaborate with AI agents.
• Review outputs from AI agents, identify risks, and adjust solutions as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development using Elixir and/or Ruby, with strong Elixir
• Strong backend fundamentals: API design, data modeling, SQL, debugging, reliability, and production
• Design scalable backend systems that integrate with multiple services.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated code for logic, security, maintainability, and production risk.
• Daily use of AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or equivalents within engineering
