Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer (Starfall)

📋 Description

• Ownership of primary/secondary structures, mechanisms, and fluid systems for Starfall Cargo Vehicle
• Use hand calculations, FEA, CAD to meet requirements
• Lead design reviews and hardware qualifications
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal teams (production/launch)
• Own hardware delivery timeline through inception, design, assembly, launch, and reuse

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 5+ years CAD or FEA software experience
• 5+ years hands-on hardware fabrication, assembly, and/or testing
• Master's degree in an engineering discipline (preferred)
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter designing parts and assemblies (preferred)
• Experience with at least one commercial FEA/Multiphysics package (NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS, CFD
