Sr. Software Developer – Application Migration & Modernization

📋 Description

• Assess existing .NET Framework apps: dependencies, data access patterns, risks.
• Develop modernization/migration plans with sequencing and mitigations.
• Modify app code to target PostgreSQL backend and beyond data move.
• Modernize data access layers (ADO.NET, EF) to current patterns.
• Migrate Oracle workloads to PostgreSQL: schema, PL/SQL, data types, performance.
• Preserve business logic in legacy DB objects (packages, triggers, procedures).

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in professional software development; strong C# and .NET.
• Deep knowledge of .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, Web Forms, WCF, IIS, Windows Services.
• Proven modernization/migration experience, not just greenfield.
• Strong relational DB skills: SQL, tuning, transactions, isolation.
• Hands-on with Oracle/PL/SQL: packages, procedures, triggers, sequences.
• Practical migration to PostgreSQL, including data types, queries, schemas, performance.
