Sr. Software Engineer II, Backend (Rust)

📋 Description

• Own Rust services powering NinjaTrader onboarding and identity verification
• Build integrations with identity, fraud, and screening providers
• Implement deterministic, tested decisioning logic for KYC/CIP
• Design async delivery to downstream systems with idempotency, retries, and completion gates
• Handle PII with encryption, secret management, and audit logging
• Define policy-driven flows to support new jurisdictions

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years professional software development, substantial production Rust
• Rust proficiency: ownership, lifetimes, error modeling, async (tokio), serde, SQL layer
• Testable Rust: pure functions, table-driven tests, fixture-based integration tests
• Experience designing HTTP and event-driven integrations with versioning/backwards compatibility
• Data protection in containerized cloud environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with AI coding aids in the workflow and code validation
