Staff Analytics Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the semantic layer and analytics standards for Pleo.
• Define a single source of truth for metrics like MRR, churn, and transactions.
• Set data modelling standards across all domains using dbt and related tooling.
• Build and lead Analytics Engineering community of practice and governance.
• Lead AI-native development and responsible AI migrations across platforms.
• Engage with backend/product engineers to drive data contracts upstream.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep dbt and modelling expertise across the function.
• Strong BigQuery and SQL capabilities, performance and cost-aware.
• Experience owning a semantic layer (LookML, dbt MetricFlow, or equivalent).
• AI-native development practice in data engineering context.
• Track record in setting standards across teams via influence.
• Understanding of LLMs/agentic data needs and AI-ready data design.
