Staff Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate stack reconciliation systems to track drift.
• Collaborate across SSS, grafana.com, and deployment configs for reliable workflows.
• Reduce deployment complexity and advance Stack Config Reconciliation.
• Manage rollout mechanisms for plugins, dashboards, data sources, and releases.
• Support region/cluster rollouts and bring stacks online safely.
• Improve incident response and recovery paths for stack issues.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 1 year of fully remote work experience.
• Experience with a large SaaS platform and distributed systems.
• Golang experience across backend and application code.
• Strong focus on developer and user experience and product quality.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements to shipping independently.
• Kubernetes in AWS/GCP/Azure; IaC tooling: Helm, Terraform, Jsonnet.
• Experience with incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Bonus: TypeScript/Node.js experience.
