Staff Backend Engineer - Application Core Services, Stacks

📋 Description

• Own the systems to create, configure, reconcile, and operate Grafana Cloud stacks.
• Stack work connects grafana.com, SSS, and deployment configurations.
• Maintain rollout mechanisms for plugins, dashboards, data sources, and versions.
• Support new region and cluster rollouts for Grafana Cloud.
• Improve incident response and recovery for stack misalignment.
• Collaborate with Product, Hosted Grafana, Infra, and Support squads.
• Contribute to roadmap design, OnCall improvements, and refactoring.
• Lead projects and own critical systems powering Grafana Cloud.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 1 year of fully remote work experience.
• Experience with a large SaaS platform and distributed systems (scalability, multi tenancy, HA).
• Professional Golang experience; able to work across backend service and application code.
• Strong focus on developer and user experience and product quality.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements to shipping in a self driven way.
• Writes clean, robust, well tested software; mentoring junior engineers in async environments.
