Staff Backend Engineer, Host Serving and Access

📋 Description

• Architect and drive the technical strategy for the serving ecosystem, including APIs and data pipelines
• Lead the development of real-time serving systems for low-latency model predictions
• Collaborate with product, data science, and ML teams to surface model recommendations and pricing insights
• Contribute to long-term ML serving workflows within Host Pricing org
• Champion engineering excellence by establishing architectural standards and mentoring senior engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years of engineering experience with a BS/MS or PhD in CS or similar
• Proven track record leading teams, setting technical strategy, and launching high-impact models
• Expertise with backend systems in large-scale service-oriented architectures
• Experience influencing cross-functional partners and engineering teams
• Good judgment balancing short-term business needs with long-term technical quality
• Strong problem-solving and production debugging abilities
