Staff Backend Engineer - Session Replay

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end technical direction for Session Replay across frontend, backend, and data.
• Drive backend architecture evolution, including columnar/analytical storage for large data.
• Design investigation workflows, connecting replay with logs, metrics, traces.
• Make high-leverage architectural decisions affecting multiple teams and products.
• Partner with Grafana teams to build cohesive cross-product experiences.
• Mentor engineers and grow technical leadership within the team.

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Staff Software Engineer or equivalent.
• Strong Go backend experience.
• TypeScript/React experience for frontend workflows.
• Experience designing columnar/analytical storage and data pipelines.
• Ability to lead architecture and cross-team initiatives.
• Excellent written and spoken English; remote collaboration.
