Staff Backend Engineer - Session Replay

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end technical direction for Session Replay across systems
• Evolve backend architecture for columnar/analytical storage of large-scale session data
• Lead investigation workflows, linking replay with logs, metrics, traces
• Make high-leverage architectural decisions impacting multiple teams
• Partner with Grafana teams to deliver cohesive cross-product experiences
• Mentor engineers and grow technical leadership while engaging customers

🎯 Requirements

• End-to-end ownership of complex data-intensive systems
• Hands-on Go and TypeScript/React experience
• Experience with columnar/analytical data storage and pipelines
• Strong communication in English; remote-first collaboration
• Ability to work in ambiguous problem spaces with autonomy
• Experience mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction
