Staff Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead data engineering initiatives and set direction for analytics, data science, and
• Own core data systems across Snowflake, SQL, dbt, and the modern data stack.
• Operate self-hosted orchestration (Prefect) and manage hybrid/self-hosted deployment patterns.
• Develop cloud-native services on AWS and manage IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD.
• Mentor junior/mid engineers and shape platform roadmaps with the Data Engineering manager.
• Collaborate across teams, security, and IT to maintain secure, compliant engineering practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep Snowflake expertise: data modeling, performance tuning, cost management, RBAC.
• Technical leadership experience (tech lead/staff engineer) and proven delivery of complex systems.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals with ELT/data modeling skills.
• Hands-on experience with self-hosted orchestration (Prefect preferred; Airflow/Dagster acceptable).
• AWS infrastructure experience and IaC (Terraform or equivalent).
• Background building cloud-native backends and data pipelines; production-grade practices (logging
