Staff Engineer, HMS DevOps/DevEx (R5447)

📋 Description

• Write automation and configure environments to power the software lifecycle across Hivemind
• Build CI/CD pipelines and scale GitLab runner fleets for C++, Python, and Node.js projects.
• Automate tooling integrations with GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
• Deploy and manage Forge simulations in Azure Gov Cloud; optimize compute usage.
• Secure Artifactory registries and implement container builds with BuildKit.
• Collaborate with teams to migrate builds to reproducible Nix environments; debug drift.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CS Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience with enterprise CI/CD, especially GitLab pipelines and runners.
• Proficient in Bash, Python; experience with webhooks/APIs (Jira, Confluence, GitLab).
• Hands-on with Docker/multi-stage builds and package managers (Conan, Poetry, Nix).
• Cloud experience (Azure Gov Cloud or AWS); security, secret management, and IdP (Entra ID).
• Strong Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting; ability to obtain US SECRET clearance.
