Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design - Launch and Recovery Systems (R4571)

📋 Description

• Lead design, development, and testing of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for next-gen UAS.
• Develop robust, field-deployable support systems for aircraft operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and flight ops teams.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation to meet military/aviation standards.
• Develop technical documentation, test procedures, and manuals.
• Support flight test campaigns with engineering for ground systems.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in mechanical design for aerospace or heavy industrial systems.
• Expertise in CAD: SolidWorks, CATIA, NX (or similar).
• Strong background in structural, materials, and manufacturing for rugged systems.
• Experience designing deployable, transportable aerospace ground support equipment.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD design requirements; FEA/thermal/fatigue analysis.
• Ability to obtain S//SAR clearance is desirable.
