Staff Engineer, Structural Analysis (R4954)

📋 Description

• Build and refine FEM models to evaluate UAV component performance.
• Perform static, modal, fatigue, and vibration analyses for stress and durability.
• Conduct hand calculations to validate FEA results and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize airframe structures (weight vs strength).
• Develop test plans for structural validation (quasi-static, vibration, shock).
• Analyze flight telemetry and test data to improve modeling accuracy.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in structural analysis, FEM, or aircraft loads analysis.
• Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN, HyperWorks, etc.).
• Strong hand-calculation skills for strength, stability, fatigue.
• Knowledge of composites and lightweight aerospace structures.
• Familiarity with mechanical testing (static, vibration, fatigue).
