Staff Field Reliability Engineer

📋 Description

• Platform and customer-facing role focusing on complex, high-stakes technical engagements.
• Build and operate managed infrastructure for Honeycomb’s largest customers.
• Provide technical leadership to unblock deals, create tooling, and guide architecture decisions.
• Operate beyond traditional support, owning runbooks and enabling scale through automation.
• Work across multi-region AWS environments and internal platforms to support customers.

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years in engineering, SRE, infrastructure, DevOps, or equivalent with Staff-level impact.
• Deep Kubernetes (EKS preferred) production experience at scale.
• Strong AWS expertise (EC2, EKS, ECS, ALB/NLB, VPC, PrivateLink, IAM, S3, Route53) and multi-account
• Proven senior incident command experience and postmortem improvements.
• Infrastructure as Code mastery (Terraform, Helm, Chef, Ansible).
• Deep observability experience: logging, tracing, metrics, SLOs/SLIs, instrumentation lifecycle.
