Staff Frontend Engineer - Design Systems

📋 Description

• Lead engineering direction for Telescope across web and mobile
• Own and evolve design system components, patterns, and tooling
• Partner with Design and Engineering to drive adoption and improve contribution experience
• Improve developer experience with tooling, including docs publishing and visual testing workflows
• Lead rituals and represent Design Systems in cross-team initiatives
• Coach and mentor frontend engineers and contribute hands-on code

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining component libraries or platform-like products
• TypeScript and modern frontend engineering; React a plus
• Design maintainable systems with clear boundaries and versioning
• Strong testing mindset (unit, integration, end-to-end)
• Accessibility and performance best practices for UI systems
• Collaborative with designers/product engineers; strong stakeholder navigation
