Staff Machine Learning Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the decisioning system and platform for real-time fraud detection and broader ML use at MoonPay.
• Build and maintain end-to-end ML lifecycle: training to serving, feature infra, and live updates.
• Develop feature infrastructure across batch, near-real-time, and in-request paths with freshness
• Ensure alignment between training and serving so production models behave as offline expectations.
• Integrate feedback loops to capture decisions and outcomes, including counterfactuals.
• Scale the platform as volume and complexity grow while keeping operational load manageable.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with real-time serving and high-availability services under strict latency budgets.
• Systems thinking: holistic architecture, robustness, and feedback loops.
• Engineering craft: well-tested, typed code and maintainable pipelines.
• End-to-end ownership of feature/data pipelines, with troubleshooting for production vs offline
• Ability to handle ambiguity, influence others, and ship impactful work.
