Staff Mission Lead Systems Engineer

📋 Description

• Hybrid role requiring on-site work in Mountain View three days/week.
• Lead mission engineering from concept to on-orbit ops for Muon missions.
• Interface with customers, architecture, hardware, software, and ops teams.
• Drive requirements, trade studies, and system modeling across lifecycle.
• Own mission-level design, tests, and operational readiness reviews.
• Foster collaboration across disciplines and improve engineering processes.

🎯 Requirements

• BS or higher in engineering; 10+ years in complex systems, mission architecture or spacecraft
• Technical lead on a complex system for USG/DoD/IC or commercial customers.
• Experience with space programs and USG/IC acquisition standards.
• Strong requirements management, modeling, and risk mitigation skills.
• Leadership in cross-functional trades and mission design processes.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
