Staff Product Engineer - Backend (Revenue Engineering, Stripe)

📋 Description

• Own and evolve metering infrastructure for accurate, reliable billable events
• Expand payment platform integrations: subscription management, webhooks, usage reporting, invoices
• Manage data flows between billing systems and cloud entitlements
• Develop customer-facing usage dashboards and forecasting
• Improve billing monitoring, alerts, and anomaly detection
• Define architectural patterns, standards, and testing approaches

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of backend experience with ownership of production billing/payments/metering
• Hands-on with payment infrastructure: subscriptions, webhooks, usage-based billing, reconciliation
• Strong backend development; Go or Java experience is a plus
• Proven in designing/operating distributed systems at scale
• Product-minded; decisions impact trust, pricing accuracy, business outcomes
• Staff-level ownership, ability to influence direction and uplift practices
