Staff Product Manager, OpenTelemetry

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end journey for instrumenting workloads with OpenTelemetry
• Define vision and strategy for OpenTelemetry experience in Grafana Cloud
• Collaborate across Engineering, Design, and GTM in a remote, global context
• Shape onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting workflows for telemetry
• Lead cross-product roadmap to simplify OpenTelemetry adoption
• Partner with downstream Grafana Cloud teams for seamless activation

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in Product Management with developer tools or observability focus
• Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry: SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector, telemetry context
• Experience building instrumentation systems, telemetry collectors, or related infra
• Experience operating software across Kubernetes, VMs, and cloud environments
• Proven ability to turn onboarding and troubleshooting into clear product experiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote, distributed teams
