Staff Product Manager, OpenTelemetry

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end journey for instrumenting workloads and sending OpenTelemetry data to Grafana Cloud.
• Define vision, strategy, and cross-product roadmap for the OpenTelemetry experience.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and GTM to ensure coherent customer experiences.
• Lead adoption of AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and prototyping.
• Partner with multiple Grafana Cloud teams to enable smooth telemetry activation.
• Deliver measurable outcomes like onboarding completion and telemetry health.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Management in developer tools, observability, or B2B data platforms.
• Experience guiding multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
• Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry stack: SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector, telemetry context
• Experience building/instrumentation systems or telemetry collectors.
• Understanding of deploying software across Kubernetes, VMs, and public clouds.
• Ability to translate onboarding and troubleshooting workflows into clear product experiences.
