Staff Property Accountant | Housing

📋 Description

• Advise on core multifamily accounting scenarios including rent, deposits, subsidies, delinquencies
• Translate real-world accounting cases into clear product requirements and acceptance tests
• Review calculations and language for prorations, allocations, adjustments, and charge/credit logic
• Lead testing and validation; run UAT with client accountants and ensure outputs reconcile
• Define standards/terminology for event lifecycles and reference guides for controllers/onsite teams
• Capture best practices from enterprise customers into durable standards and playbooks

🎯 Requirements

• 2-4 years in multifamily property accounting or controllership (PMC/owner-operator/REIT)
• Deep knowledge of GL, sub-ledgers, resident ledgers, deposits, close; strong US GAAP
• Comfort communicating with client accounting/operations/leasing teams
• Clear stakeholder communications including writing and presentations
• Willingness to work in person at our office 4-5 days a week
